
Construction Mangement
Our Project Managers make up over one-third of our staff and are actively involved on every construction site on a day-to-day basis. They make the construction process smooth for our clients by seeking to increase the level of quality for each project. This proactive approach shows evidence that our clients' present and future liabilities are significantly reduced.
Meier Architecture • Engineering Project Managers administer aspects of the construction from award to project closeout. Our reputation for fairness and objectivity with the general contractors allows for a minimum of construction problems while adhering to the Contract Documents.
Successful Representation. Our Construction Management staff is experienced and successful. They are invaluable in representing the Owner's interests and working with all parties to get the project completed, on time and within budget.
Responsibilities. The Construction Manager is responsible for keeping written records on all aspects of construction, which is necessary to monitor the schedule and cost and as backup for any legal issues that may arise. Typical services includes:
- Making daily assessments of the Contractor's workforce
- Keeping written logs of work activity
- Noting unusual circumstances
- Noting weather conditions
- Managing requests for information (RFIs)
- Reviewing change orders and pay requests
Coordination and Closeout. Other activities include coordination of owner-supplied items, inspections, assisting with development of the punch list, and follow up during commissioning and project closeout.
